Glenn Smith is a former Great Britain Swimming & Paralympic Games Coach who is exceptionally skilled at identifying, coaching, and developing talented athletes. With almost 30 years of professional swimming coaching experience, and having worked in the UK Midlands Nottinghamshire at the highly successful Nottinghamshire County Swim Squad (Nova Centurion SC), Glenn has gained a wealth of knowledge in coaching, as well as in planning and designing swimming programs for swimmers, Paralympic athletes, Masters competitors, and triathletes.
His exceptional achievements include the early development of double Olympic Champion and double Bronze Medallist Rebecca Adlington OBE, as well as coaching Paralympic Champions Sam Hynd, Ollie Hynd MBE, and Medalist Charlotte Henshaw MBE. Glenn has coached athletes to 10 Paralympic medals, including 4 Gold, and has placed Para swimmers on every Paralympic Team from 2004 through to 2016.
Additionally, Glenn was named British Swimming Paralympic Coach of the Year in 2015 and won the BSCA (British Swimming Coaches Association) Paralympic Coach of the Year award in 2015 and 2016.
